However, in animal agriculture, moms are forced to endure the unthinkable. Raised on a farm for meat and dairy, Honey cow's babies were most likely taken from her and slaughtered - only in each other's company for moments.

While trapped in this reality, Honey bonded with her adoptive son Lux who helped her through the trauma. And when the farmer had a change of heart, Farm Sanctuary stepped in to give the bonded family a peaceful life, free from harm. At our New York sanctuary, they received the time, tenderness, and treatment needed to heal and thrive.
