Save the Date for the "Voting Rights are Human Rights" forum coming May 24

Save the date for the Kitsap County Council for Human Rights' upcoming forum, "Voting Rights are Human Rights," in partnership with the League of Women Voters of Kitsap [ [link removed] ], taking place 6-7:30 p.m. in the Eagle's Nest at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds, 1195 Fairgrounds Road [ [link removed] ], Bremerton.

The forum will be moderated by League of Women Voters of Kitsap member and former mayor of Port Orchard Kim Abel and feature Washington State Representative Tarra Simmons; Kitsap County Auditor Paul Andrews; John Allen of the Kitsap County Accessible Voting Advisory Committee; and Martitha May of Kitsap Mesa Redonda and former director of the Kitsap Immigrant Assistance Center. The forum will look at voting rights and accessibility from a human rights perspective.

The event is free and open to everyone. A hybrid option via Zoom will be available to the public. We hope to see you there! More details coming soon!
