Senator Collins said in an interview she is “disappointed” the Senate did not vote to allow witness testimony. Sound familiar?
We can always count on Susan Collins to be “disappointed” but we can never count on her to actually stand up to Mitch McConnell.
We saw that when she waited until AFTER McConnell gave her a “hall pass” before voting for witness testimony. And when she voted against an amendment to subpoena John Bolton, Mick Mulvaney, and other key witnesses.
This is all just an act. Senator Collins just needed cover while she’s up for reelection.
We’re sick and tired of watching McConnell and Collins perform this kind of political theater. If you are too:
