Dear Friends,

When you walk the halls of Congress, it’s rare that you see folks from our community. During my time as staff, I heard the same message over and over: “'if you're not at the table, you're what's on the menu.”

While it’s somewhat cliche, it rings true that for generations, our Asian American Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) communities have been left out of conversations and disproportionately impacted by policies that were made without our input. We continue to have to push our way into spaces we haven't been invited to. Our history is one of exclusion and we must fight every day to ensure that our voices are heard.

That’s why today I’m asking you to join us forOCA Day on the Hill ([link removed]) on July 13th, 2023. In conjunction with the OCA National Convention, we will travel to Capitol Hill in Washington, DC to meet with members of Congress to educate them about issues facing the AANHPI community. No prior advocacy experience is required— and we’ll make sure that you’re prepared ahead of time with virtual trainings.

This is our moment to be at the table. I look forward to seeing you there.
Join Our National Advocacy Day Now! Deadline April 30, 11:59PM PST ([link removed])
