John,
This week, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution to show increasing support for Israel, all while Israel descends further into fascism.
We have to end U.S. military aid to Israel’s apartheid regime, not double down on uncritical support for Israel’s human rights abuses.
But there’s hope: The movement for Palestinian liberation is having an impact on the national conversation. Recent U.S. polling shows a huge shift toward support for Palestinians. While only 18 Democrats opposed yesterday’s resolution, that marks an increase of Congressmembers voting in alignment with Palestinian rights.
In Congress and across the country, we’ve got to keep growing the
movement to end U.S. complicity in
Israel’s military occupation and apartheid.

John,
Yesterday, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution to encourage deepening support for Israel and expanding the Abraham Accords, Trump-era agreements between Israel and Arab countries that ignore Palestinians and enable human rights abuses in the Middle East and Africa.
Members of Congress who voted for the resolution noted that their votes were in honor of the 75th anniversary of Israel’s founding as a state. But they ignore the reality of how the state of Israel was founded 75 years ago: by killing and displacing two-thirds of the Indigenous Palestinian population, in a brutal campaign that Palestinians call the “Nakba,” or catastrophe.
We have to end U.S. military aid to Israel’s apartheid regime, not double down on uncritical support for Israel’s human rights abuses.
The resolution’s bipartisan passage shows how far we still have to go in the struggle for Palestinian freedom. However, 18 Democrats opposed yesterday’s resolution—an increase that reflects a huge shift in U.S. public opinion in favor of Palestinian rights.
As the only Palestinian-American in Congress, I know my advocacy in Congress disrupts the unjust status quo. I will continue to speak up until we achieve safety and justice for all.
Will you donate $5 or more today to support our work to grow the U.S. movement for Palestinian liberation?
Unfortunately, yesterday’s passage of House Resolution 311 signifies increasing anti-Palestinian far-right radicalization among Republican leaders. Unlike prior versions of this resolution, this Republican-drafted version fails to even mention Palestinians or attempts at “peace.”
Instead, the resolution encourages expanding the Abraham Accords, which were pushed by the Trump administration and signed in 2020 to establish ties between Israel and Arab countries. These deals further enable Israel’s impunity and U.S. weapons sales while undermining human rights. One leader in the negotiations that led to the Accords even admitted that the intent was to marginalize Palestinians.1
As the top supporter of the Israeli military, the U.S. has the leverage needed to demand equal rights for Palestinians. It's our responsibility to keep pushing for change. U.S. taxpayer dollars fund Israel’s colonial regime that restricts basic resources and freedoms from Palestinians, in an ongoing attempt to erase an entire people.
We must urgently grow our movement to end U.S. complicity in Israel’s ethnic cleansing, military occupation, and apartheid. And we need your support to do so.
Please contribute what you can today so we can keep fighting for Palestinian rights.
