John, this is urgent.

VoteVets was on the Hill yesterday with our Congressional allies slamming the GOP for their draconian cuts to Veterans’ care.

And today, we’re sending a letter to Speaker McCarthy.

Our message: This brinkmanship has to stop.

If McCarthy’s bill becomes law we’d see a $30 billion cut to the Department of Veterans Affairs. That would destroy countless Veterans' ability to access the care that they earned. It would end our sacred commitment to those who served. It would put Veterans’ very lives at severe risk.

And if he doesn’t walk back from this ledge, the economy goes off the cliff. We default on our debt, triggering a global financial crisis and a government shutdown. That’ll be devastating not just for Veterans, not just for our men and women on Active Duty and their families, but for everyone.

So please:

Sign our letter to Speaker McCarthy. Whether you’re a Veteran, whether you’re from a Military Family, or whether you’re just someone who believes that this country has to live up to the promises it makes, use your voice and stand up for what’s right.
