Oklahoma,

I hope you’re having a great week. We've stayed busy in Washington. Here's a look into what we've been up to. If this email was forwarded to you, you may subscribe to my e-newsletter here.

As a working cow-calf rancher, I'm grateful to the Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association for coming up to Washington this week! We discussed Farm Bill priorities, wild hog overpopulation, and how the Biden administration's regulatory assault is hurting Oklahoma ranchers. We must get D.C. bureaucracy out of Oklahoma to protect our rural way of life.

I also had the opportunity to visit with Mayor George Pankonin and the Enid Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday to discuss new economic development plans in the City of Enid. We talked about the future of Vance Air Force Base, aviation education in our schools, and Enid's growing health care sector.

Despite being in Washington this week, my thoughts and prayers have remained with those in Central Oklahoma who are still recovering from last week's devastating storms.

I joined the Oklahoma delegation in writing to President Biden in support of Governor Stitt's request for federal assistance. I am thrilled to announce this request has been approved for McClain and Pottawatomie Counties. This will give our communities the support they need to get back on their feet. Thank you again to those who jumped into immediate action to serve one another.

On Saturday, Christie and I spend the day in Shawnee and Cole meeting with residents, local officials, and first responders to survey the damage. To read more, click here.

In America, we leave no man behind. Yet time and time again, the Biden administration has failed to safeguard American citizens abroad. Right now, Sudan is an eerie reminder of Afghanistan. This week, I joined Fox News to discuss my reaction to the Biden administration's scramble to get American citizens out of Sudan as military clashes break out across the country. Oklahoma has proven its ability to provide affordable, dependable energy solutions to our nation. From the invention of fracking to breakthroughs in wind energy, our state’s all-of-the-above energy approach has led to a cleaner environment and the most robust economy our country has ever seen.

I penned a piece in The Washington Times about the importance of abundant, affordable energy for every American. Click here to read.

This week, I was proud to cosponsor and help pass U.S. Senator Deb Fischer's (R-NE) legislation to overturn Joe Biden's harmful overregulation on heavy-duty vehicle emissions.

Over 24,000 Oklahomans are heavy and tractor-trailer truck drivers. This new rule will burden their livelihoods, increasing costs for the trucking industry and, in turn, increasing costs for consumers in communities who rely exclusively on trucking to deliver their freight. I stand with my colleagues in opposing this rule and pushing back against the heavy hand of the EPA.

The full text of the resolution can be found here.
