John,
NRA-backed politicians have been up in arms about Biden’s move to regulate stabilizing braces since it was announced last year and now they are trying to nullify his executive order – a move that will be deadly.
Stabilizing braces were originally designed to assist disabled shooters, but now, many gun manufacturers are selling accessories misbranded as “stabilizing braces” to circumvent regulations, allowing a gunman to turn a pistol into a more dangerous short-barreled rifle – an assault weapon.
A “stabilizing brace” allowed the Colorado Springs shooter to kill five people and injure 25 others in only minutes.
A “stabilizing brace” was used by the shooter who killed 10 people in Boulder, CO, and in Dayton, OH, to kill 9 and injure 26 more in just 32 seconds.
Mass shooters have taken advantage of this gun industry manipulation, to make their firearms more concealable, maneuverable, and lethal, essentially creating a portable assault rifle. This resolution would make it easier for mass shooters to access deadly weapons and its passage will have deadly consequences.
Despite the recent shooting in Nashville, where the shooter killed three children and three adults using a “stabilizing brace,” NRA pocket-politicians are still trying to nullify Biden’s regulation of these deadly accessories. The hearing on this resolution could happen any day now and we need your help to send a clear message to the House as soon as we can.
We have to stop this irresponsible, gun lobby-backed crusade. That’s why we’re calling on 10,000 grassroots supporters to send an urgent message to their representative and urge them to oppose this dangerous resolution. We are counting on all of our dedicated activists to send a clear message to our lawmakers – and we’re still missing your response, John.

These lawmakers are actively supporting mass shooters, increasing gun deaths, making us all less safe. It is up to us to hold our lawmakers accountable and make sure they stand up to the gun lobby. Thank you for taking action, John.
