Friend, day after day in both DC and statehouses across the country, GOP lawmakers show us just how out of step they are with the vast majority of Americans.

Whether it’s Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” legislation, North Dakota’s draconian abortion restrictions, or Tennessee’s expulsion of Democratic representatives over gun reform (to name a few), Republican lawmakers nationwide refuse to prioritize the important issues before us. Sadly, the same is true down here in DC.

But as a member of the House Democratic Caucus, I feel a responsibility to offer meaningful solutions for the challenges and opportunities our country faces.

In order to move those solutions, though, we simply must retake the House majority next year. I believe we can do just that, but right now my team and I are falling short of our budget goals – in fact, we need to raise another $10,000 in April to stay on track.
