This week, the House Homeland Security Committee passed their portion of the border security package after a marathon session that lasted over 16 hours. The Homeland Security committee’s bill contains important provisions to:
Next Steps. The full border security package (containing the provisions from both the Judiciary and Homeland Security Committees) must now be brought to the House floor. And every Republican member must support a package that effectively secures the border and curtails illegal immigration.
With the situation at the southern border getting worse every day, House Republicans MUST keep their campaign promises and pass a robust border security package and show the American people they are serious about protecting our safety and sovereignty.
