And you don’t just have to take my word for it, John. Look at Kevin McCarthy and the GOP’s priorities since taking power. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Hi John,

Our campaign is quickly gearing up for the 2024 election and the many challenges ahead. Before things get too busy, I wanted to take a moment to share why I’m in this fight, and how I know that come next year, our people-powered campaign will once again defeat right-wing extremism in western Pennsylvania and help the Democrats take back control of the House.

I decided to run for office because I believe in fighting for our common good, but what does that mean? To me, the common good means putting people first.

It means having a government that builds the best infrastructure in the world, and having our union brothers and sisters building it. It means protecting the right to an abortion before we have right-wing legislatures banning it and putting people in prison. It means taking on the unchecked corporate power that’s killed our communities, hurt workers, and crushed small businesses. It means upholding the promises we made to our veterans and seniors and ensuring their hard-earned benefits are protected.

The GOP has no answers for the problems we’re facing. House Republicans are happy to leave working folks behind because they care more about power than they care about all of us here in Western Pennsylvania.

And you don’t just have to take my word for it, John. Look at Kevin McCarthy and the GOP’s priorities since taking power: They’ve been busy appointing their most radical party members to key committee positions, voting to strip away reproductive rights, attacking Social Security and Medicare, turning their backs on our veterans, carving out loopholes for the richest corporations, and so much more.

Western Pennsylvanians deserve better than what the GOP has to offer. That’s why I’m in Washington fighting for our common good.

But that fight has put a target on my back, John, and in 2024 National Republicans will be doing everything they can to unseat me and replace me with one of their radical cronies. The earlier we begin to prepare for the challenges ahead, the easier it will be, so if there’s anything you can chip in today for our 2024 campaign, I would appreciate it.

Thank you,

Chris Deluzio
