Pollinator Awareness Month
At their April 18 meeting, the City Council approved a resolution declaring Pollinator Awareness Month in Mendota Heights, May 1?31.?
Throughout the month-long initiative, the City will provide educational resources and activities on how to support pollinators year-round and highlight the importance of pollinators and their role in the natural world.?
Pollinator-Friendly Yard Signs Available May 1
What are you doing to help pollinators this season? Maybe you are planting native pollinator-beneficial plants, trees, or shrubs, or committing to reducing or eliminating the use of pesticides and chemicals in your landscape.
If so, Mendota Heights residents participating in Pollinator Awareness Month by taking action to protect pollinators in their yards can pick up a FREE yard sign at City Hall beginning Monday, May 1. Yard signs are first-come, first-serve. Supplies are limited.
