Hey John ,
Yesterday in the dead of winter, thousands of Iowans gathered at their local precincts to participate in the first act of voting in the 2020 presidential election. They voted—physically in the corners of public schools and municipal offices—for who they planned to support in the election. The Iowa Caucus is the first official act of voting in this 2020 election. It’s important to make sure that all eligible voters throughout the election process have equal power at the polls—regardless of age, location, background, and education level.
Young adults in particular face systematic voter suppression throughout the voting process—when trying to register, while at the polls, AND after their ballots are counted. [[link removed]]
Through voting and fair elections, we have the opportunity to make choices about the country’s future—what policies will be enacted and who will represent our interests, not just in the presidential election but also in the states, Congress, and beyond . The authority to regulate the time, place, and manner of federal elections is up to each state.
We need your help to ensure our state legislators are prioritizing real action for transparent and free elections. [[link removed]]

All of our elections should be transparent, available for discourse, and fair—from voter registration to Election Day.
Be sure to double-check your voter registration information and be ready! [[link removed]]
