96 That's a Wrap Early this morning, the gavels fell for the last
time and those two words were spoken (sine die) as the state House and
Senate adjourned for the year.

Just a few months ago, Hoosiers
overwhelmingly sent Republicans back to the statehouse to continue to
deliver results for them. And this session, that's exactly what they
did. Working together, Governor Eric Holcomb and our Republican-led
legislature took bold action that, as Governor Holcomb has said, "will
better the lives of Hoosiers and build a better today and stronger
tomorrow."

Through the biennial budget, Republicans have created
endless opportunities for our state. That includes the opportunity to
keep more of your hard-earned dollars, to skill up more Hoosiers, to
build stronger and more vibrant communities, to improve Hoosiers' health
and wellbeing, and for parents to choose the best school for their
children.

But that's certainly not all.

Through separate
legislation, they have worked to lower healthcare and prescription
costs, provide property tax relief, keep dangerous criminals off our
streets, protect renters, and plan for our state's fiscal future.
There were many wins for Hoosiers this session. And we're excited to
share them with you over the coming weeks.

Enjoy this week's
newsletter.

Sincerely,
Chairman Kyle Hupfer

Governor Holcomb's Week That WasA Legislative Session With
'Generational Impact' [link removed]
Governor Eric Holcomb held an early morning press conference after both
chambers adjourned sine die. You can watch it by clicking above.
In a
(very) early morning Friday press conference, Governor Eric Holcomb
lauded the conclusion of the legislative session that enacted his 2023
Next Level Agenda, noting it will have a "generational impact."
Here's what he had to say in a news release: “First and foremost, we
balanced our 10th straight budget which enables us to strategically
prioritize key areas in health, education and workforce that will
elevate Indiana to the Next Level. I’m proud of what was accomplished
this legislative session and through collaboration and hard work we will
be able to make transformational investments that will better the lives
of Hoosiers and build a better today and stronger tomorrow.”

The
details: Gov. Holcomb provided an overview of the key components of his
2023 Next Level Agenda that the legislature approved.

  In Tuesday Reelection
Announcement, Joe Biden Says 'Let's Finish This Job' 🥴 In a video
published early Tuesday, just two days after 70 percent of Americans,
including 51 percent of Democrats, said that Joe Biden shouldn't run
for reelection, Joe Biden officially announced his fourth presidential
bid.

The big picture: At the time of his announcement, President
Biden's approval rating stood
athttps://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/president-biden-job-ap
proval-7320.html >42.6 percent, according the Real Clear Politics
polling data, while only 25 percent of the country thought the country
was moving in the "right direction."

What wasn't said: The
three-minute announcement video fails to mention a single first-term
accomplishment and ends by President Biden saying, "Let’s finish this
job."

Our comment: With those numbers, we'd rather him not.
Here's what Chairman Kyle Hupfer had to say about the announcement:
"Over the next 19 months, Joe Biden will take his record in front of
the American people, seemingly unaware of what it actually is. While it
may be hard for him to remember given that it spans nearly five
decades, the last three years shouldn't be. Inflation crisis, border
crisis, energy crisis, foreign affairs crisis — those should all ring a
bell. It's a record of failure that will be too large for him to hide
from this time, even with more rooms to choose from than just his
basement."
Whitley Yates Named to IBJ's '40 Under 40' Whitley
Yates was named to the 2023 class of the IBJ's '40 Under 40' last
Friday.
Whitley Yates, our director of diversity and engagement, was
recently named to the 2023 class of the Indianapolis Business Journal's
(IBJ) "40 Under 40" last Friday.

About the honor: Each year, the IBJ
recognizes 40 individuals in metro Indianapolis that have made a mark
in their profession before the age of 40. Among hundreds of nominees,
Whitley was selected as one of the 40.

Please join us in
congratulating her!

More: You can read her full profile in the IBJ.
"Whitley Yates is the first person to hold the position of director
of diversity and engagement at the Indiana Republican Party, a
distinction she embraces. 'I do what I do because I am distinctly aware
that I have the power to cultivate places of belonging and inclusion
where uncomfortability once resided,' she said. 'I do it because making
connections for the community could create a change larger than me, and
I could be a catalyst to inspire those who will come after me.'"
RNC Launches Real-Time Biden Fact Checker The Republican
National Committee (RNC) on Monday launched factcheckbiden.com, a
website solely dedicated to fact checking President Biden in real time.
From the RNC Chairwoman: “Not only has Biden created crisis after
crisis, he lies about the damage that he’s done to our country. Whether
it’s claiming that the border is secure, that our economy is strong, or
that the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan was a success, Biden and
his administration refuse to acknowledge the truth. The RNC will
continue to hold Biden accountable for his lies, and in November 2024,
the American people will too.”

More: In addition to rapid fact
checks, the site will provide real-time messaging on Biden for our
activists who sign up for email updates through the website.
