MA: 2023 Butterfly Fund Scholarship Award Application Open!
Dear Members,
A generous family has donated funds to the League as a scholarship towards a member’s child's tuition/academic expenses. The only criteria is that they are majoring in Psychology and/or Criminology and have shown interest in pursuing a career in that field post-graduation.

They have named this grant the Butterfly Award due to the many loved ones who provided for them and have since passed. Their own child won an LAPPL scholarship in the past, and this was their way of paying all of this kindness forward.

This year, we are excited to announce that the Butterfly Award will be renewed and the donors have set the criteria as follows:

A child of an active or retired member who is a senior in high school planning to major in Psychology or Criminology, or a current college student at any degree level who is majoring in Psychology and/or Criminology will be awarded $5000 toward their degree.

If your child fits this criteria and would like to apply, please fill out this application form, and email it along with their essay to [email protected]. The deadline to apply is Friday, May 26th, 2023 at 5pm.
Very Truly Yours,

BOARD OF DIRECTORS
