[ [link removed] ]Ilhan for Congress
I'm writing to share some big news with you this morning: I'm endorsing my friend Congresswoman Barbara Lee for U.S. Senate in California.
I'll explain more in just a minute, but if you're ready to join me in supporting Rep. Lee in this historic race, please split a contribution — of anything you can — between our campaigns today.

Here's a fact:
Rep. Barbara Lee has spent her entire career as a champion for justice, and a fighter for working people.
From being the only Member of Congress to take a courageous vote against giving George W. Bush unlimited war powers in 2001, to her pathbreaking leadership fighting for investments in peace, climate action, cannabis legalization, fair housing, abortion rights, and more — I am proud to call Barbara Lee a colleague, a mentor, and a friend.
Since the time she joined forces with the NAACP to become her high school’s first Black cheerleader, Barbara Lee’s progressive leadership has been shaped by a lifetime of organizing — the exact kind of grassroots, people-powered organizing that it's going to take to win this race.
This Senate seat is already shaping up to be the most expensive race in congressional history, and it's going to take a LOT of resources to compete with the billionaires and outside spending groups who are already making their moves in this election.
Like us, Barbara doesn't take a dime from corporate PACs, and is counting on our nationwide progressive movement to stand together and help make sure her campaign has what it takes to fight back and win.
That's why I'm asking you today:
Can you split a contribution — of anything you can — between Barbara Lee's campaign for U.S. Senate in California and our re-election campaign today? This is a big one.

I know that Barbara Lee will make the state of California proud as the only Black woman in the Senate, and that she will always put the needs of working people above all else.
Thank you for being a part of our fight.
In solidarity,
Ilhan
