Happy Arbor Day! When we think about America’s iconic forests, California’s redwoods might come to mind, or the overgrown mossy rainforests of the Olympic peninsula. But perhaps most iconic of all is the fall foliage of New England.
We are so incredibly fortunate to host this annual wonder here in our backyard. Our forests connect us to generations past, but future generations’ ability to enjoy our stunning forests is at risk due to climate change.
We might be a little biased, but we think Connecticut’s forests are some of the most beautiful in the country. We’re committed to protecting them, but we need to ensure there are Democrats in office that will make that commitment, too.
