The Romanian Senate and Prime Minister's office partner with IJM to host international conference
The high-level meeting in Bucharest on cross-border and national human trafficking analyzed the challenges and specific measures being taken at the European level. IJM trained government officials rescue man who had been enslaved for nearly half his life
The young man had been forced to work at a construction site since childhood to pay off his parents’ falsified debt. The trained Indian government officials worked seamlessly within 24 hours to rescue him, declare him free with a Release Certificate, and set him up with rehabilitation support.
