John,
With House Republicans passing their debt ceiling disaster this week, we need to make sure the Senate doesn’t offer concessions that slash funding for programs and services in order to pay for Trump-GOP tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations.
Instead of cuts to housing, nutrition, healthcare, the Social Security Administration, and more, we’re demanding the Senate raise taxes on the rich and corporations and invest in programs for working people.
Click here to send a message to your senators demanding they reject Kevin McCarthy’s debt ceiling disaster and not give in to right-wing hostage takers.
President Biden and Senate Democrats need to hold strong. They need to know that the American people are with them when they stand up for working people and fight back against millionaire, billionaire, and corporate greed.
Thank you for taking action today,

John,
House Republicans voted this week to kick 100,000 kids off childcare.[1]
They voted to deny affordable housing to over a million low-income families.
They voted to take away meals from seniors and make it harder for seniors and people with disabilities to access their earned Social Security benefits.
They did all of this while repealing billions of dollars of IRS funding meant to crack down on wealthy and corporate tax cheats and rolling back environmental regulations.
Send an urgent letter to your senators today demanding they stand strong against right-wing hostage takers. We know that we can afford investments in our future when the rich and corporations pay their fair share.
These across-the-board spending cuts fly in stark contrast to President Biden’s budget, which would raise nearly $5 trillion in tax revenue over 10 years from the rich and corporations―investing $2.8 trillion to preserve and expand vital public services while reducing our national debt by nearly $3 trillion.[2]
Republicans’ $3.6 trillion of service cuts over 10 years are the price the GOP demands for raising the nation’s debt limit and preventing a catastrophic federal default.[3] Click here to send a message to your senators and urge them to not negotiate with right-wing hostage takers.
Together, we’re fighting for investments in our future―paid for by making the rich and corporations pay their fair share.
Thank you,
David Kass
