<[link removed]> ConservAmerica Welcomes New Roosevelt Conservation Caucus Members April 28, 2023 ConservAmerica is pleased to welcome Congressman Garret Graves of Louisiana and Congressman Ryan Zinke of Montana to the bicameral Roosevelt Conservation Caucus (RCC). “Congressman Graves and Congressman Zinke each hold a depth of experience and knowledge on conservation issues,” said ConservAmerica President Jeff Kupfer. “They understand how to balance the needs of their constituents with America’s energy and environmental needs, and we are pleased that they will bring their expertise to the Roosevelt Conservation Caucus.” Congressman Graves, of Louisiana’s 6th District, serves on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and House Natural Resources Committee. He formerly served as Ranking Member on the Select Committee on the Climate Crisis. On these committees, Congressman Graves has diligently worked to advance the policy priorities that are important to South Louisiana – safe and efficient transportation, flood control, hurricane protection, maritime commerce, coastal restoration, port development, and energy production. Congressman Zinke, of Montana’s 1st District, serves on the House Appropriations Committee, where he focuses on energy and environmental issues. He previously served as the United States Secretary of the Interior under President Trump. Prior to his time as Secretary, Zinke represented Montana-At-Large, serving as a leading member of the Natural Resources Committee, challenging policies that locked Montanans out of public lands and introducing legislation to strengthen public access and conservation. The RCC is committed to advancing sensible policies grounded in conservative, market-based principles to the nation’s environmental, conservation, and clean energy challenges. Congressman Brian Mast of Florida’s 18th District and Congressman Buddy Carter of Georgia’s 1st District serve as House co-chairs of the caucus. The RCC leadership team also includes Senators Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and John Thune of South Dakota, who serve as Senate co-chairs. Members of the caucus have been pivotal in shaping legislation to protect and enhance our environment for future generations. The caucus looks forward to building on the momentum behind key priorities in the 118th Congress, including permitting reform, wildlife conservation, and unlocking America’s natural resources. ConservAmerica is a nonprofit organization that advocates for market-based solutions to conservation, environmental, and energy challenges.
