The confusion is the point. Donate to stand up for accurate abortion information for all.

The abortion pill, and specifically mifepristone, has dominated headlines for weeks, sowing confusion about where, if, and how it is able to be used. First things first, an abortion with pills is a safe an effective option and mifepristone has been on the market for over two decades with a stellar safety record.

Some might even say, “Abortion pills are magic!” ;-)

Despite this, anti-abortion extremists have used a biased anti-abortion judge to take up a case questioning mifepristone, leading to wide-spread confusion. Which is exactly the point. Abortion is a popular and winning issue and medical abortions using pills account for the majority of abortion in the U.S. today. They know they cannot win by claiming abortion pills are unsafe (that’s a lie) or unpopular (that’s another lie) so they are trying to sow legal confusion for patients, providers, and pharmacists.

So we want to be clear, coming from SCOTUS, abortion pills are still widely available in those states where abortion is legal. [1]

And we are going to do everything in our power as a direct action organization to fight to keep it that way. Join us.

Sincerely,

Erin Matson
Executive Director, Reproaction

P.S. They’ll keep trying. Let’s keep fighting. Give today.
