Dear John, |
Now more than ever, endangered species need our help as they face grave threats like climate change and habitat loss. Wildlife is counting on us to protect their future before they disappear, and now is the time to take action. |
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Endangered Species Act, landmark legislation that protects wildlife across the US. And on May 19, Endangered Species Day will bring further awareness to the urgent challenges threatening species worldwide. |
Your gift by May 19 can help secure a brighter tomorrow by creating sustainable conservation solutions, from boosting endangered populations to sharing cutting-edge science. |

I recently celebrated 45 years with San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance and am just as honored to be here as I was on my first day in 1978. |
One story that stands out to me is our multi-decade effort to save the California condor. In the early 1980s, there were only 22 California condors left in the world! Then, in 1983, we received a California condor egg that became the first of its species to be raised in a zoo! Today, the California condor population is more than 500 birds. |
This is an extraordinary example of what we can achieve together with hope, resources, sound science, and the dedication of organizations like San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance. |
Thank you for your generosity as we look to the next 50 years of conservation. Support from donors like you is essential to saving endangered species. Can we count on you to protect wildlife? |
Yours in conservation, The San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance Family

P.S. Donate by Endangered Species Day on May 19 to secure their future. |
