============================

John — Last week was an incredible week for care across the United States. The Care Workers Can't Wait Summit in D.C. was a historic event, with hundreds of care workers, activists, union members, and leaders from across the care economy coming together to sound the alarm on the care crisis.

As the Summit kicked off, care workers were invited to the White House to witness President Biden signing both the resolution marking April as Care Workers Recognition Month [[link removed]] and the signing of an Executive Order for care [[link removed]] .

The executive order expands access to quality, affordable care and support for family caregivers and care workers, including domestic workers, by using existing funding. This is a huge step forward in creating a more just and equitable care economy , and we couldn't have achieved this without your support.

But the fight for better care for ALL continues , and we need your help. We’re building a group that will help speak up for caregivers. Join our fight for better care programs now and help build the power we need to win the future that we all deserve. Sign the Care Champion pledge now. [[link removed]]

Last week's Summit showed just how strong and powerful our movement is. Congressional champions including Senators Sanders and Casey and Representatives Jayapal and Williams, along with worker members and leaders from NDWA, SEIU, AFL-CIO, AFT, AFSCME, Community Change, MomsRising, Care in Action, and Care Can’t Wait pledged to continue their fight to improve the quality of jobs, recognition of care workers, and investments in our care economy.

Together, we are committed to improving the lives of care workers and their families, strengthening our communities, and supporting our economy as a whole.

Join us and take action today! [[link removed]]

Thank you for all that you do,

The majority of domestic workers sit at the center of some of our nation’s most decisive issues because of who they are and what they do: they are women – mostly women of color, immigrants, mothers, and low-wage workers. They are impacted by almost every policy affecting the future of our economy, democracy and country.

Domestic workers can lead us toward a new, inclusive vision for the future for all of us -- and your grassroots support is the fuel that can get us there.
