Hi John — Earlier this month, I announced that I’m officially running for reelection to the U.S. Senate. So today, I want to take a moment to tell you a little more about the campaign we’re building — and why your early support is so critical.

Here’s the deal: This campaign is not going to be about me — it will always be about working for you.

It will be about standing up for your families, your health care, your jobs, and your retirement. And it will be about building on the progress we’ve made together — making sure you have the leadership you deserve in Washington.

That’s what my work has always been about. It’s why I proudly cast my vote to fight climate change, lower the cost of prescription drugs, and expand health care for our veterans. It’s why I’ve fought so hard to protect marriage equality for all Americans. It’s why I’ve defended Medicare and Social Security from those who want to tear those critical resources away from folks relying on them.

Grassroots supporters like you have been by my side in fight after fight. Now, I’m asking if you’ll stand by me once again by splitting a donation between No Dem Left Behind and my reelection campaign ahead of our critical end-of-month fundraising deadline this Sunday.

We’ve got quite a long road ahead of us. National Republicans are already targeting Wisconsin, and they’ll undoubtedly spend a fortune attacking me.

But I know I won’t have to fight back alone. Your early support in this race will help ensure my team and I have the resources we’ll need to take on anything coming our way, and I couldn’t be more grateful to have you with me.
