Friends,
This week I introduced a resolution that would condemn the Mexican President for threatening to meddle in U.S. elections, following my introduction of Authorization for Use of Military Force against the drug cartels.
I also spoke at an Energy and Commerce Committee hearing on the Biden Admin's dangerous rush to green energy policies, and at another hearing on legislative solutions to increase price transparency and competition in health care.
Sincerely,

The Left's Harmful Rush to Green Energy
The left’s rush to green energy is not only destructive, it’s flat out dangerous. There are significant environmental, human rights, and national security risks associated with this, and rapidly replacing reliable energy sources (like natural gas) with unreliable energy sources (like wind and solar) are going to drastically harm the country. And often times the left’s environmental policies harm the very people they claim to be fighting for: poor and working class Americans. California’s electric bills are 70% higher than the U.S. average because of Governor Newsom’s rush to green energy. These unaffordable electric bills disproportionately impact low-income Californians. Civil rights leaders actually sued California’s government in 2018 over what they called the “regressive impact of their climate policies on the poor and people of color.” And it’s not just here in America. Over in Germany, the cost of energy has skyrocketed after radical environmentalists pushed to basically deindustrialize and ban critical energy sources like nuclear. Now German residents are resorting back to wood burning and coal to save on heating costs—both of which are bad for the environment and health. In Africa, leaders like the president of Uganda are begging Western leaders not to force climate policies on the continent while they’re trying to lift their people out of poverty with fossil fuels. These are just a few examples of how the left’s rush to “green” energy hurts the poor. There are countless other examples. The left always screams about “environmental justice” when pushing nonsensical climate policies. But they always forget about “energy justice”—giving everyone access to affordable, reliable energy regardless of their income status.
Crenshaw Resolution Condemns Mexican President for Threatening to Meddle in US Elections
In response to my proposal that would authorize military force against the Mexican drug cartels, the President of Mexico threatened to meddle in American elections. He said he would ask Mexicans and Hispanics in the U.S. not to vote for Republicans…all because we are the ones actually coming up with solutions to the fentanyl and cartel crisis. This kind of rhetoric by a head of state should be rejected wholeheartedly. I’m old enough to remember when Democrats were all against “foreign interference” in our elections…will they speak out now? This should be pretty commonsense. Speaker McCarthy must take a stand and bring this resolution to the House floor for a vote immediately.
DEA Administrator Agrees: Go After the Cartels With an AUMF
My friend Rep. Jake Ellzey is a cosponsor of my bill to authorize military force (AUMF) against the cartels and today asked the head of the Drug Enforcement Administration if an AUMF would be an effective tool to target the cartels. No surprise here that DEA Administrator Anne Milgram agrees that we need to use any authority to the fullest extent to defeat the Mexican drug cartels—including an AUMF. This is huge—now the DEA, FBI, national security leaders, and President Trump have all voiced support for the use of military force against these cartels that are killing Americans with fentanyl. So what’s the hold up? Congress can and should act immediately. Every day House Republican leadership delays bringing my legislation to the floor, Mexican drug cartels secure more power to traffic humans and drugs into the United States. Let’s follow through on the promises we made to those we represent. Call your representative and Republican leadership and demand we take action against the cartels NOW.

Riley Gaines’ life changed when biological male Lia Thomas tied with her for 5th place at the 2022 NCAA Women’s Swimming Championship, an event which brought national attention to the debate over transgender athletes competing in women’s sports. NCAA officials refused to award Riley the 5th place trophy and gave it to Lia instead – solely for the purpose of a photo-op. The experience inspired Riley to speak out against this attack on women’s sports, and in doing so she became a target of ridicule by the woke left, even being physically attacked by protestors at one of her recent speeches. Riley joins me to share her story, argue for the importance of sex-separate sports leagues, and call on leaders in these leagues to have the courage to stand up for women and the biological reality of sex differences.
