SEEKING A BIPARTISAN COMPROMISE ON THE DEBT CEILING:
Jared is focused on working with his colleagues in the House and President Biden to reach a compromise on the debt ceiling that will keep the economy on track without cutting critical programs, like the VA, Medicare, and Social Security.

Jared also joined Representatives Mary Peltola and Marie Gluesenkamp Perez in sending a letter to President Biden and Speaker McCarthy urging an end to the partisan standoff and brinkmanship over the debt ceiling. The trio urged genuine talks offering real proposals that will result in an agreement to lift the debt limit.
INTRODUCED THE “PATIENTS’ RIGHT TO KNOW THEIR MEDICATION ACT”
Jared is the lead sponsor of a bipartisan bill to ensure people have access to paper prescription drug inserts, so they can readily understand the potential side effects and other critical information pertaining to their medication. Ensuring that citizens have this crucial information regardless of their access to computers and the internet. The Twin Rivers paper mill in Madawaska manufactures these kinds of inserts, so this also will protect good, high paying jobs in northern Maine.
