Last week our chief legal counsel Dan Ernst, one of Colorado’s preeminent defamation attorneys, had the opportunity to sit down with the Boebert legal team and throw down the gauntlet. 

From this conversation we learned that Boebert and her team are ready to go to total war over our case and are prepared to spend millions of dollars if they need to. We also learned that they will attempt to bog down our filing of the suit in a pitched battle over the exact figure of how much our PAC lost in revenue due to their defamation. Because of this new intel, our counsel has advised us to bring in another legal expert who will do a forensic accounting of how much Boebert’s defamation cost our PAC.

Thus with careful consideration we have decided to push the filing date of the suit into May so that we can grow our legal team and ensure all of our ducks are in a row on the date of filing. 

To ensure we’re fully prepared for the fight that lies ahead we need to push hard through the end of April to grow our lawsuit fund. Will you join the thousands who have already chipped in to this important effort to wreak havoc on Boebert’s campaign and make a donation of whatever you can spare?

The statute of limitations for our case will close in late June, 2023, so we have the rest of this month and a few weeks in May to rapidly expand our team and prepare for the onslaught that will be coming our way when we file. 

It is the strategy of Boebert’s lawyers to delay, delay, delay, and see if they can tie us up until the end of June where they will be within striking distance of being saved by the statute of limitations. We cannot let this happen. 

These delaying tactics from Boebert’s attorneys are the exact same as the ones used by counsel for Fox News in the Dominion lawsuit. Dominion’s lawyers had to fight for three hard years of this but as we all know now, they paid off, and as of last week Dominion is receiving a whopping $787.5 million from Fox.

While we don't have the resources of Dominion - this lawsuit is one of the most tangible ways we have to throw a wrench into Boebert’s reelection, and they will do anything they can to stop us - why? Because the political consequences of Boebert having to answer to a taped under oath deposition where we ask her about all of our accusations, her personal life, finances, and more, will be astronomical.

Our case is the strongest it has ever been but it will only see the light of day if folks like you can step up and help us bring it home. John, will you please consider chipping in whatever you can spare to ensure that our case is as strong as it can possibly be when we file?
