Our guest on this week’s podcast is Kevin Hassett, the 29th Chairman of the President’s Council of Economic Advisers under President Trump. Dr. Hassett was the speaker at a recent PRI dinner in Palo Alto. He is Distinguished Visiting Fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution and the author of several books, including The Drift: Stopping America’s Slide to Socialism (Regnery Publishing, 2021). He served as the Chair in American Politics and Culture and Director of Research for Domestic Policy at the American Enterprise Institute, and Senior Economist at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System.

Banning Healthcare Facility Fees Is Bad News For Colorado

The long-term migration away from major metropolitan areas like Detroit, Baltimore, San Francisco and New York City – accelerated by the pandemic – reflects a growing dissatisfaction with these cities.

Animal rights activism is not about the animals

A recent court case ([link removed]) in California allowed two animal rights activists to go free after “rescuing” two chickens from a Foster Farms farm. Prosecutors say it was a one-off and “rescuing” animals from farms is still illegal. Activists are calling it a win for animal rights. The ambiguity lies in the phrase “suspected neglect.”
