Last night, Montana Republicans voted to bar transgender representative Zooey Zephyr from the House floor for the rest of the session. 

For a party that claims to care so much about personal freedoms, they don’t seem to like anyone saying anything they disagree with... 

Republicans are out of control. They used to undermine our democracy through sneaky backroom deals with corporate lobbyists and wealthy special interests — now they’re just unseating duly elected Democrats they disagree with, silencing and disenfranchising the thousands of voters they represent.

Before leaving the House floor, Zooey turned her light on to speak, signaling that the 11,000 folks she represents will no longer be able to have their voices heard in their state government. That’s the Montana Republicans' legacy, and it’s our job to hold them accountable for it.
