Are you fed up with the Supreme Court? It’s hard not to be. The Court has been out of order for awhile, but we are still reeling from the latest revelations about Clarence Thomas and his penchant for concealing information about his conservative megadonor benefactor with business before the Court. Ideally, Clarence gets a new hobby besides neglecting to include real estate sales on his financial disclosure forms. But it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen any time soon. Unless Congress makes him. The American people deserve answers, and it’s up to the Senate to get them. But this isn’t an isolated incident. While Clarence Thomas is yachting it up, Samuel Alito is allegedly leaking decisions to anti-abortion activists, and John Roberts’ wife is getting rich recruiting for law firms with business before the Supreme Court. Congress has a constitutional duty to act as a check on the Supreme Court and restore faith in our judicial system. If they don’t, we will continue to have nine justices appointed to the bench for life that aren’t bound by any rules. How much longer do we have to put up with blatant corruption before Congress steps in? No one is above the law—not even the Supreme Court. It’s time we show them they can’t get away with their corrupt behavior anymore. Thanks for all that you do. Sami and Chloe
