Hi everyone,
I want you to hear it directly from me first: I’m running for U.S. Congress to represent the people in California’s 27th district.
I don’t live like most members of Congress. I know what it’s like to be on the wrong end of a system that’s rigged against regular people. When I was 16, I was wrongfully convicted and sent to prison for a crime I didn’t commit. After spending 20 years in prison fighting for what was right, justice finally prevailed and I was exonerated.
I don’t look like most members of Congress. I’m the proud son of Mexican immigrants. I remember standing in my classroom as a boy, putting my hand over my heart, and saying the words liberty and justice for all.

I know what it’s like to feel forgotten. That’s why I’ll make people the priority.
