Last night, Kevin McCarthy and House Republicans passed their debt-limit budget – and an independent analysis from Moody’s Analytics showed their plan would slow economic growth and increase unemployment next year.

Let's be clear: McCarthy is holding the economy hostage to pass a bill that will devastate the economy. His plan will crush our economy and lead to 780,000 fewer jobs by the end of 2024. Every American should be outraged.

If the GOP actually cared about the deficit, they should make sure the ultra-wealthy and major corporations pay their fair share – not take food and housing assistance away from hardworking families.

I will continue fighting back against Kevin McCarthy's reckless plans. But if we're going to retake the majority in 2024 and stop him, I need your help.
