I’m reaching out one last time this month to ask for your help. I hope you’ve read our past emails about the horrific reality of horse slaughter—and the fact that it’s still perfectly legal to transport American horses to Mexico and Canada to be killed for their meat.

We’re fighting to end industries like these for good, but we need you with us! Please give $20 to the Humane Society Legislative Fund today to help stop the cruelty that so many animals endure every day.

It would be easy to ignore this kind of abuse—but I know you can’t. Like me, you can’t help but want to protect animals who cannot protect themselves. And when we work together, we get results. Like securing protective measures in 2020 for racehorses by passing the Horseracing Integrity and Safety Act. And with your help we’ve been able to keep horse slaughterhouses temporarily shuttered within the U.S., but we won’t stop fighting until horse slaughter is not only permanently banned in the U.S., but it’s also illegal to transport horses across our borders to be slaughtered. 

There’s still much to be done and we can win big for horses and other animals again this year with your support. Together we can advance bills at the federal and state level to better protect horses and all animals. 

Your support will help ban horse slaughter, protect horses from soring which causes them excruciating pain just for the sake of winning a horse show, and defend animals of all kinds when they need us most.
