Happy Black History Month! This month serves as an
opportunity to learn, celebrate, and give thanks to the many
contributions that Black Americans have made to our country. This
tradition began in 1926 as a week-long celebration created by Dr.
Carter G. Woodson.

to the vast number of achievements Black Americans have made
throughout history which have made our state, and nation, a
