Next Wednesday, May 3, The Advocates will be screening the award-winning documentary, Beyond Homeless: Finding Hope at the Crest Theatre in Sacramento. Doors open at 5:30 for a community reception.

Non-profit leaders, local media, and politicians will be in attendance. We want you to be a part of the conversation. Over 930 people have reserved their tickets, and there’s less than 50 left.

Following the film, California columnist Steven Greenhut will moderate a panel featuring:

  • Lemanda Del Toro - Haven for Hope alumna

  • Mary Theroux - Chairman of the Board and CEO of the Independent Institute

  • Sue Frost - Sacramento County Supervisor

  • Darrell Steinberg - Mayor of Sacramento

If you haven’t already, I encourage you to watch this ReasonTV video, which contrasts the failed homelessness policies of California with the much more successful approaches taken in Texas.

This is an important issue, and one that libertarians should contribute their voices and share their perspective. This is a unique opportunity to meet with experts in the field and local policymakers. Your voice matters in presenting effective voluntary solutions to our greatest social challenges.
