Governor Ron DeSantis is waging war on his own state with a radical, hateful agenda which he clearly hopes will rally the GOP’s base to him in 2024.
Now just months after he jetted in to speak to the Illinois Fraternal Order of Police, he’s planning to come back to our state to garner support from the IL GOP ahead of the Presidential election cycle. He will be sure to highlight all the extreme measures he supports taking away freedoms.
Just this month, he passed a six-week abortion ban that will almost completely eliminate this reproductive health care in Florida. Soon, he plans to sign a bill prohibiting investment strategies in Florida that he has deemed as “woke.”
The reasonable people of Illinois will stand up to hate.

But that's not all DeSantis is doing, he seems to be anti-business and vengeful as well. When he hasn’t been busy campaigning out-of-state or stripping his state’s residents of their rights in the middle of the night, DeSantis is waging a public war against family-friendly Disney, Central Florida’s biggest employer and taxpayer, just for denouncing his hateful “Don’t Say Gay” bill.
With his approval plummeting among the pro-Trumpian GOP base he worked so hard to impress, coupled with his donors abandoning ship, he took his petty vendetta to a new level against the company by threatening to build a state prison on its border.
While DeSantis spends his time abusing his power and courting extremists, Florida suffers. Now he wants to bring the politics of fear and loathing to Illinois, and Republican county parties are welcoming him with open arms trying to raise money off his visit to bolster their at home effort to elect like-minded extremists!
