Activists, organizers, and volunteers are the driving force behind successful campaigns. Excitement exists for the candidate, but we know that the team makes victory possible.
And outside of elections, organizers do so much more critical work to win over voters in the long-term. Deep-canvassing communities to lead on the issues that matter uniquely to those neighborhoods. Leading movements in local government to pass resolutions, enact ordinances or ensure the budget is applied in ways that best benefit the citizens. These are the people who collect signatures, convene meetings and lead activism in their districts to inspire others and shift people's perspectives.
We need our organizers more than ever in this divisive, social media era. And we believe the solution to winning rural America is to empower our rural organizers. ROCC is the initiative designed to take up this mission.
