We are pleased to update you on our recent intervention at the 2023 annual Disney Shareholder Meeting, and the ongoing pressure we have been mounting against the company’s incessant radical woke agenda.

On April 3rd we intervened yet again in the company’s annual shareholders meeting, where we addressed Disney’s CEO Bob Iger directly, urging him and the company to, once and for all, stop promoting LGBT and gender ideology in their products, and to return Disney to what it once was - child and family friendly.

Disney has for too long been weirdly obsessed with LGBT content, with their subtle inclusions of gay characters in their movies, gay kiss scenes, LGBT themed products… 

And most recently, their shocking gay concert with a group that openly mocks parents and boasts the indoctrination of children!

The good news is this: the more Disney insists on being the servant of the gay lobby; the more Disney abandons family values and respect for the innocence of children; the more Disney impregnates its movies with Woke ideology, the worse it does.

Did you know that the declining trust among parents and families worldwide have led Disney to:

  • Loss of Millions of Subscribers: Disney has experienced a significant drop in subscribers as a result of its ideological shift. In one quarter alone, the company lost 2.4 million subscribers, indicating that many families are no longer comfortable with the content being offered.
  • Large scale layoffs : Disney's financial struggles, partly due to its woke agenda, have led to thousands of layoffs. In addition to the 7,000 employees laid off recently, Disney had to let go of several thousand workers in the previous year.
  • Declining Stock Value: Disney's stock value has dropped by more than 30% over the past year. This decline in value can be partly attributed to the company's decision to alienate a significant portion of its once-loyal customer base.
  • Damaged Brand Reputation: Disney's brand reputation has taken a hit. Many parents now view Disney as an entity that seeks to indoctrinate children rather than provide wholesome, family-oriented entertainment.

Their decisions have started to bite them where it hurts, i.e. financially!

There was a glimpse of hope when their abysmal business performance in the past year forced former, openly woke CEO Bob Chapek to step down, and bring back Bob Iger to take charge again.

But it seems like the indicators above were not clear enough for new CEO Bob Iger and that Disney does not learn its lesson.

We questioned the CEO about Disney’s recent collaboration with the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus to produce an LGBT-themed Disney musical, and the explicit intentions of the group to indoctrinate children. 

If you recall, this gay chorus shockingly turned popular Disney songs such as Aladdin, and the Little Mermaid into a celebration of homosexuality. 

They even added lectures for children about what that each song meant for them as gay men!

We also challenged Iger over the company's decision to host highly sexualized Gay Pride parades at Disneyland parks worldwide, where families used to take their children for fun.

Well we see how Bob Iger’s answer is nothing short of a vague and politically correct defense to being exposed for his poor performance indicators.

However, something has changed for the better.

As you can see in the video, his response is in fact very different to what it was 3 years ago, when we first cornered him with uncomfortable questions regarding Disney’s bent agenda. 

Three years ago we were arrogantly laughed at, and they just doubled down against us, on promoting LGBT ideology in their products. 

Well they are not laughing now, are they? Every year they are getting clearer and clearer proof that the company is sinking because they are wrecking family values. 

That is why Iger was far more nuanced in his reply, and seemed to convey an understanding and consideration for the millions of angered parents worldwide. 

Although being seemingly aware of this, he continues to contradict himself in saying that on the one hand “there should not be an ideological agenda behind Disney”, but at the same time that their content should foster "greater acceptance of all people". 

To me, this sounds like an ideological agenda.

Iger acknowledged that Disney wants to be seen promoting the "right values" and “staying true to Walt's mission” and said that it wasn't their intention to be agenda-driven and that they wanted to be age-appropriate at all times.

Iger's answer overall was very far from perfect, BUT it shows we have moved the needle and that Disney has no choice but to be sensitive to its criticism and responsive to it.

This is a reminder that we ARE making a difference! 

CitizenGO was the first organization to go after Disney, back in 2019 and as a result we drew a lot of fire. Now the tables have turned, and it is THEM who are feeling the heat.

Disney can NO LONGER AFFORD to ignore us. Our demand continues to be a simple one: that they STAY OUT OF POLITICS and refrain from indocrinating its young audiences. 

We are NOT finished. If we get off their back now, we know exactly which way this will go.

We continue to rely on your help to stand up to Disney. It is crucial that we continue to make our voice, the voice of the family, heard well and clear, and demand that entertainment remains a place that is suitable, safe and enjoyable for all children and families, without the need to shove political messages down their throats.

Please stay vigilant, and continue to support our efforts to protect our children and preserve family values in our society.
