Zooey Zephyr, Montana’s only transgender lawmaker, has not been allowed to speak on the House floor, a place where she was duly elected, for over a week. 

Her fellow legislators have blocked her from addressing the chamber after she called them out for their transphobic and incredibly dangerous proposals to ban transition care for minors. 

Today, they are expected to hold a vote on a censure or discipline for her actions. 

Conservative state legislators have made it clear that they’re not interested in political debate anymore. If you aren’t a white man, or if you say something the white men in charge disagree with, you’ll be silenced, or stripped of your power entirely.

It’s anti-democratic and it’s just plain wrong. We stand with Zooey Zephyr. We want her to know her voice and her advocacy are critical. Will you add your name here to show Zooey we have her back?
