Today, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy is planning to put his ransom demand for holding the economy hostage on the floor for a vote―a plan that would shut down Social Security offices, increase wait times, and make it harder to get the benefits we earned in order to make it easier for rich people to cheat on their taxes.
