To mark the upcoming Coronation of His Majesty the King, a giant replica Coronation crown has gone up on the front of Nottingham?s Council House.
The huge 3D crown was installed ahead of the Coronation bank holiday weekend beginning on Saturday 6 May.

The Council House and crown will be lit up every evening from Wednesday 26 April and over the Coronation weekend.
The crown, which was also used during last year?s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, was made by Nottingham-based scenic artists Makers, who have over 30 years? experience in art fabrication and model-making.

Nottingham City Council has secured Government funding to make walking and cycling easier, safer and greener.
Improvements to cycling provision along St Ann?s Well Road were made during the Covid-19 pandemic, recognising the significant rise in the number of cycling journeys during that time. Now, a new scheme aims to build on the changes and to provide a step change in cycle infrastructure along the St Ann?s Well Road with proposals that include a dedicated cycle lane, re-alignment of junctions and upgrade of traffic calming features to reduce vehicle speeds.
You can see more and have your say on these plans here.
Or, come along to see the plans in person and have a chat with the transport team in St Ann?s Library on Thursday 4 May, 2-5pm.

As we head into spring and summer, it?s important to be ?tick aware.? Ticks are small, spiderlike creatures that feed on the blood of animals ? usually deer and sheep, but can include people.
They are active between March and October and can be found near trees, shrubs, tall grass or piles of leaves, but you can find ticks anywhere outdoors. So, as you?re out and about enjoying some of Nottingham?s great parks, woodlands and open spaces, or even just in your own garden, it?s really important that you are more tick-aware.
It?s important as some ticks can carry disease, which?can be passed onto people and animals.
If you find a tick, is important to remove them safely and as quickly as possible by using a pair of fine-tipped tweezers or a tick removal tool and if you begin to feel unwell with flu-like symptoms, or develop a spreading circular rash, you should contact your GP or dial NHS 111. Find out more here.
