Dear friends,
As many of you know, last November, Massachusetts voters passed the Fair Share Amendment, voting for a fairer tax system that will raise more than a billion dollars each year for transportation and public education. This month, the Massachusetts House passed a tax cut proposal that would undercut the will of the voters by giving hundreds of millions of dollars away to the wealthy and large corporations.
This is unacceptable, and we must take action to prevent these giveaways from happening.
Raise Up Massachusetts is holding a phone bank today, Wednesday, April 26, and tomorrow Thursday, April 27, from 4-7 p.m. The phone banks are virtual, so you can participate from the comfort of your own home or office. This is a critical moment, and we need your help to make a difference.
If you are unable to attend a phone bank, there are still ways to get involved. You can send a quick email to your State Senator by clicking here NOW: https://raiseupma.us/senatebudget.
Together, we can make our voices heard and ensure resources go to support the public good – not line the pockets of corporations and the ultra-wealthy. Please RSVP for the phone banks using the following links:
Thank you for your support, and we hope to see you at the phone banks!
Sincerely,
Lee Matsueda
