[2]National Nurses United
As an organizer, I've had hundreds of conversations with people about the
biggest issues we face, and how we can get mobilized to overcome them.
By far, the thing I hear most often is how there’s a perceived
barrier-of-entry between ordinary people and volunteering — that the only
way to get involved in our organizing work is to become a health care
policy expert.
That couldn’t be further from the truth. In reality, you DON’T need to be
an expert to be an effective volunteer. But if you’ve caught yourself
feeling that way before, then this email is for you:
[ [link removed] ]Our team is hosting a series of introductory calls every Thursday in
February (starting this week!) to share the secret, easy formula to
becoming an effective advocate for Medicare for All. RSVP here to sign up
for one of our upcoming trainings!

On the call, we’ll go over a few simple topics to make sure you have the
tools at your disposal needed before becoming a volunteer. And I promise
you — the list is much shorter and much less intimidating than you
probably think. Here it is:
1. A desire to have real conversations with real people about our shared
experiences under the bootheel of this profit-driven health care
system.
2. A reminder that [ [link removed] ]our FAQ page has every crucial talking point laid
out in advance for you. All you need to do is follow along with that
page, and you’ll be able to convince anyone to join our Medicare for
All movement.
3. That’s it. That’s the list.
It’s really that simple. [ [link removed] ]Just sign up here to join an introductory call
today. We’ll be hosting them every Thursday for the next four weeks to
provide anyone who’s on the fence with all the best and easiest talking
points.
Hoping to hear from you real soon! And I hope you’ll join us on any of
these upcoming Thursday nights to learn more about how easy it is to get
started as a Medicare for All volunteer.
In solidarity,
Jasmine Ruddy
