Dear John,
Last week, the House passed an anti-trans sports bill, which prevents trans athletes from playing on the team that aligns with their gender identity. I was proud to vote no.
This is the latest in a long line of attempts to villainize trans Americans. It's a shameful pattern pushed by Republicans in Congress and in state legislatures around the country — and we can't stand by and let them get away with it.
As Vice Chair of the Equality Caucus, I'm committed to protecting LGBTQ+ communities, but I can't do it alone. Will you sign your name to send a clear message that you won't stand for these attacks on trans rights?
