During her time in the House, Danica has advocated for thoughtful and efficient infrastructure projects, government transparency, free school lunches for Virginia’s school children, and more.
Most notably, in the face of a slew of discriminatory legislation, Danica has been a fierce advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, loudly and decisively opposing any bill that seeks to target, marginalize, and legally permit the discrimination of Virginia’s LGBTQ+ children and communities.
Her tireless and powerful advocacy for such important progressive priorities is why Sister District is proudly supporting her run for state Senate this year.
This race really matters, John. To prevent complete GOP control of Virginia and stop right-wing legislation in its tracks, we must protect and expand our razor-thin Democratic majority in the state Senate. And we can only do that if we invest early and help candidates like Danica win.
