Although much of our interview was about No Labels’ 2024 presidential insurance project, this movement has always been about something much bigger. It’s about uniting this country and pushing our leaders together to deliver commonsense solutions to our big problems.
We know that most Americans are optimistic, practical and patriotic people. But they don’t see those traits reflected in our politics. Instead, they see our parties dominated by angry people driven by ideology and identity politics rather than what’s best for our country.
Since our founding in 2009, we’ve worked to bridge America’s political divide, by creating the bipartisan House Problem Solvers Caucus, connecting them with Senate allies and building a nationwide network to support courageous bipartisan leaders in their campaigns. Our work resulted in our congressional allies leading passage of the historic bipartisan infrastructure bill in 2021 and major gun safety and innovation bills in 2022.
Later this year, we will release a “Commonsense Policy Agenda” that we know the majority of Americans can rally around. And we’re organizing a grassroots effort to mobilize the vast majority of Americans who want to support leaders with the courage to put country first.
America was built by people who refused to accept the broken status quo. From our Founders, who conceived of and created a nation, to the entrepreneurs who pioneered world-changing innovations, to the many heroic people who put their lives on the line to defend our country abroad and to expand equality and opportunity here at home, we are a people who see a problem and find a way to fix it.
That’s why so many Americans are joining No Labels. The commonsense majority in America is strong, it is growing, and it is ready to be heard.
