I just left the MSNBC studios, and there’s something that I can’t stop thinking about.

President Biden announced his re-election with a video that starts with one word: “Freedom.”

Right now, one major party in America is embracing the core ideals that make our country great — as the other wraps itself in conspiracy theories, fear, and outright hatred while actively stripping away our fundamental freedoms. It’s as simple as that.

As the President said, “every generation has a moment where they have to stand up for democracy.”

This is ours.
