Dear A.,
Tomorrow marks 75 years since David Ben-Gurion declared independence for the modern State of Israel, forever changing the course of history.
For countless generations, this astonishing achievement was only a dream: A sovereign Jewish state in the historic homeland of the Jewish people.
Very few could have imagined that the new Jewish state would overcome the tremendous odds it faced: A tiny Jewish state with few natural resources, surrounded and vastly outnumbered by better-equipped enemies committed to its destruction.
But Israel didn’t just survive. It has truly thrived, becoming a world-leader in many important fields, a light unto the nations, an economic marvel, increasingly at peace with its neighbors, and one of America’s closest allies in the world.
Through AIPAC, each of us plays a role in helping to make this reality possible. It is our responsibility to ensure Israel is even safer and more prosperous tomorrow because of the actions we take today.
To thank you for all you do to help keep Israel safe, now and for generations to come, I wanted to personally make sure you were invited to a special event with President Herzog.
Sincerely,
Michael Tuchin
AIPAC President
