Fellow Democrats, this is simply incredible:

Graphic: GOP begs party members to vote by mail, spinning it as an anti-fraud opportunity --- Capitol Fax

The GOP spent years telling their voters ridiculous lies about mail-in voting, convincing their followers it’s rife with fraud and not to trust it, and pushing the Big Lie. They even sued to have it restricted here in Illinois, wasting taxpayer money in the process.

Now, the Illinois GOP have changed their tune – deciding those lies don’t suit them anymore. They convinced their own voters not to use a safe, secure, and convenient voting method, so they’re telling new lies to convince them it’s actually an anti-fraud opportunity.

Ridiculous.

Illinois Democrats and Democrats across the country have consistently worked for decades to expand voter access and fought to protect your voting rights. Expanding access to voting leads to more voter participation. Now, in 2023, the Illinois GOP is getting on board with voting by mail because they saw how effective our County Parties have been at increasing turnout with vote-by-mail.

In 2022 alone, we invested over $100k in a targeted vote-by-mail program achieving a 75% Democratic turnout rate. We’re looking to do the same in 2024, and we need your help.

Will you pitch in $10 or more right now to help us continue this success and fight back against these hypocrites who worked to take away voting access and rights?
