This is our opportunity.
Hi, John — it's Pittsburgh Mayor Ed Gainey here.
With 21 days until Pennsylvania's primary election for local and statewide races, I'm reaching out about two of the most promising leaders in this state — Congresswoman Summer Lee and State Rep. Sara Innamorato.
Mayor Ed Gainey, State Rep. Sara Innamorato, Governor Josh Shapiro, and U.S. Rep. Summer Lee at opening day for the Pittsburgh Pirates!
Last November, we made history — defying the odds and millions of dollars in super PAC attacks — and elected Summer Pennsylvania's first Black Congresswoman. Now, we have the chance to elect Sara as Allegheny County's first woman Executive.
Sara is in a competitive election for one of the most powerful roles in the state, and nothing is guaranteed. But Summer and I both know from our elections that if we join forces, we can shake up the status quo, so I'm asking:
Will you please split a donation between Summer and Sara today so we can elect and support progressive leaders who are fighting for racial, economic, and environmental justice?

The challenges facing Western Pennsylvania and Allegheny County are vast. On any given day, we're facing the worst air quality in the nation, but here's what Sara, Summer, and I know: Every single child deserves to grow up with clean air, clean water, and quality, safe education.
If we elect Sara, we have a historic opportunity to create a better future in Western Pennsylvania. Together, Summer, Sara, and I will work to support our workers, fight for clean air and water, ensure corporations aren't taking advantage of our neighbors, and build a region where everyone can thrive.
This is our opportunity to build a more reflective, responsive, and collaborative government. If you're with me, will you split a donation between Summer and Sara today?
Let's meet this moment.
Thank you,
Mayor Ed Gainey
